Grow Your Small Business During a Recession
I don’t need to tell you that this is a tough economic environment and that relief appears to be a ways away. Indeed, the Market Oracle is calling this the worst recession since World War II. There’s no doubt that many businesses are going to get hit pretty hard before things get better. So given these tough times, what can businesses to do to stay afloat or even get ahead?
First, continue marketing, but efficient means of doing so. Lee Odden of TopRank recently polled business marketers for their advice on how to market during a recession and found that Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tops the list. Though it takes time to set up, SEO can be an inexpensive and effective means of generating traffic to your online media. The results of the poll also suggest that Social Media marketing is a useful recession tactic for the same reasons.
